PERFORMANCE SUPPORT DEPARTMENT
The Performance Support Department (LDC-P) coordinates the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs that are standardized, repeatable, and sustainable in support of Coast Guard leadership performance needs. LDC-P facilitates and leverages professional development opportunities through partnerships with LDC staff, FORCECOM Training, and Coast Guard Program Managers to develop leadership and professional development programs that fulfill the needs of the Service and its personnel.
LDC-P provides services that directly support the Leadership Development Center's Strategic Vision. Instructional Designers conduct regular curriculum reviews of over twenty courses delivered by the Leadership Development Center and submit curricula for college accreditation through the American Council on Education Curriculum reviews ensure continuity and stability between related courses and school houses, and assure fidelity of training. Evaluation Specialists capture critical course data from students and supervisors, assisting the curricula review process as well as creating data banks that are vital for instructional improvement. LDC-P is collectively responsible for several new initiatives offered by the LDC to include the Leadership Development Resources, studies on command climate, and Leadership Coaching.
