Boarding Officer E-Learning Course
Currently under development.
The Boarding Officer E-Learning Course is available to all U.S. Coast Guard personnel online at the Learning Management System. The purpose of the BOC E-Learning course is to provide much of the resident Boarding Officer Course curriculum offered at the MLE Academy in an online format. Anyone with access to the CG Portal may take the BOC E-Learning Course.

Each module and end of module test must be completed prior to beginning the next.
End of Course Test 0001852-1 "Intro to MLE" is also required to be completed AFTER completing units A,B,C,D and before applying for BOPC resident training at the MLE Academy. The test can be found in the LMS under "course catalog"- "qualification courses" and must be administered by the unit ESO via question mark.

How to Apply:
You may self enroll in the U.S. Coast Guard Learning Portal. Open the 'Course Catalog', then select 'Security & Law Enforcement', then select courses. You may complete one or more modules. You may not take the comprehensive exam until all modules are completed. Enrollment in the BOQS Program or any other course in not required.

The Boarding Officer E-Learning Course is available 24 hours a day from any computer with CAC access.
