PURPOSE:
The Basic Tactical Operations Course (BTOC) is an intensive eight week course designed to prepare personnel for high risk interdiction operations in the maritime environment.
Subject matter is designed to prepare a newly assigned member of a TACLET, MSST, or MSRT to develop the basic skills necessary to function as a Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF) assault team member. This course covers Advanced Interdiction competencies such as Advanced Combat Marksmanship, Close Quarters Combat (CQC), and Progressive Breaching. The student must achieve a minimum score of 80% on written exams and a GO in all GO/NO GO criteria to successfully complete the course.
BTOC is designated as a High Risk Training (HRT) course.
