PURPOSE:
This course is for enlisted members E-7 and below and is designed to train tactical bow gunners for PWCS missions using a variety of classroom lectures, simulations, and tactical scenarios along with land-based and waterborne training activities. The tasks trained include PWCS mission and policies; operation of the M240B for Machine Gun Boat Course (MGBC) phases III and IV; the LA51 Warning Device Course using the M-870 Remington shotgun; security zones; command and control; crew member equipment; and response boat tactics.
